Silly Symphonies is a series of short-subject cartoons produced by Walt Disney Productions. It began in 1929 and continued until 1939.

Aside from the Three Little Pigs (which had four cartoons to their name), the series did not feature continuing characters, like Disney's own Mickey Mouse series. However, it did introduce Donald Duck in the 1934 cartoon The Wise Little Hen.

In 1932, one of the series' short subjects, Flowers and Trees, became the first commercially released film to use used three-strip Technicolor. The cartoon's eventual success led to the three-strip color process being used in the rest of the series, and its concurrent adoption in the Mickey Mouse series in 1935.
