Premise[]
Batman was the crimefighting alter ego of millionaire playboy Bruce Wayne. He was friends with commissioner James Gordon and engaged to Julie Madison. Most of his foes were somehow supernatural in nature. He was often depicted smoking a pipe. His base of operations was New York City, nicknamed "Gotham".
